Religious pendants
A religious gold medal is a round or oval pendant representing a sacred figure, the Virgin, a guardian angel or Christ, traditionally given for a christening or a communion. It is a piece full of meaning, made to be kept and passed on.
The motifs of religious medals
The Virgin remains the most classic motif, often shown in profile, in the so-called Miraculous style or in more contemporary interpretations. The medal can be smooth or engraved, its outline plain or worked with a fine row of beading.
Choosing and wearing the medal
The size is chosen according to age: a small medal for a baby, a slightly larger piece for a child or an adult. The colour of the gold, yellow, white or rose, is chosen according to taste.
