The diamond, a true symbol of timelessness and elegance, remains the most coveted gemstone for celebrating life's significant moments. Whether adorning an engagement ring, a pendant, or a pair of earrings, its unique sparkle transcends generations and stands out as the ultimate choice.
Since 2008, Edenly has brought all its expertise in gold and diamonds to your service, guiding you in selecting the perfect stone that combines quality, purity, and value for money. Discover how to recognise and choose the diamond that will forever enhance your jewellery.
All diamonds are graded according to four criteria known as the 4Cs: Carat (weight), Cut, Color, and Clarity.
The 4Cs are essential for evaluating a diamond's quality, and their combination determines its beauty and value.
At Edenly, we offer certified diamonds, guaranteeing complete quality and transparency. Our diamonds meet the strictest standards in purity, color, cut, and weight to provide you with the best shopping experience.
Carat measures a diamond's weight. One carat equals 0.2 grams. It is crucial as it largely determines the stone's value. A diamond's price increases exponentially with its carat weight: the higher the carat, the higher the price. For example, a 2-carat diamond weighs four times a 0.5-carat diamond but can cost six to eight times more.
At Edenly, we offer diamonds from small stones of 0.10 to 0.30 carats up to larger stones of 2 carats or more, based on your budget and preferences. Shape and cut also influence the diamond's overall appearance.
Note: A gem's carat should not be confused with a precious metal's carat. In metals, carat measures purity. For example, 18-carat gold contains more pure gold than 9-carat gold.
Cut is arguably the most important criterion, as it determines a diamond's brilliance. A quality cut maximises light reflection, creating an exceptional sparkle. Edenly only offers diamonds with ?Good? or ?Very Good? cuts, ensuring outstanding brilliance regardless of shape.
Natural diamonds come in a range of colours, from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). The more colourless a diamond, the higher its value. Colourless or near-colourless diamonds exhibit exceptional brilliance.
What to know: Diamonds graded D to F are considered colourless or nearly colourless and are the most valuable. At Edenly, we only offer diamonds rated D to H, ensuring each stone is practically colourless, with remarkable brilliance and vibrant colour.
Clarity is determined by the number, size, and visibility of inclusions or blemishes within a diamond. These imperfections may be natural (formed during crystallisation) or induced by treatments. A high-clarity diamond has few or no inclusions visible to the naked eye.
What to know: Diamonds are graded from F (no inclusions visible to the naked eye) to I3 (inclusions visible to the naked eye). At Edenly, we select only SI1 clarity or higher, meaning inclusions are not visible to the naked eye.
. In summary .
Carat: The weight of the diamond, expressed in carats.
Cut: The cut determines the diamond's brilliance.
Colour: The colour ranges from D (colourless) to Z (yellow).
Clarity: The diamond's purity, the finest stones having no inclusions visible to the naked eye.
At Edenly, we are committed to offering you diamonds of the highest quality. We work exclusively with trusted diamond merchants who adhere to rigorous standards to ensure the excellence and ethics of every stone.
Each Edenly piece comes with a certificate of authenticity detailing your diamond's specific characteristics: weight, colour, cut, clarity and other attributes. We aim to provide full transparency about the quality of the stones we use, so you can be completely satisfied with your purchase. This certificate is accompanied by a customs hallmark and a master's mark, guaranteeing the gold's purity and the craftsmanship's authenticity.
We apply the Kimberley Process, a certification that ensures our diamonds come from legal and responsible sources. This process excludes diamonds from conflict zones and ensures our stones are mined with respect for human rights and the environment.
At Edenly, we offer the option to obtain a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certificate for diamonds over 0.30 carat. This certificate confirms the 4Cs: Carat (weight), Cut, Colour and Clarity, as well as other key features such as fluorescence and symmetry. There is a fee for this service for pieces in our collections (around ?200).
If you would like extra assurance, you can request an IGI (International Gemological Institute) or HRD certificate for diamonds of a particular size or cut. These certificates ensure a professional and impartial evaluation of your diamond.
To ensure complete traceability, each Edenly piece is registered with a unique identifier. This system allows you to track your piece's journey from creation to delivery. All our jewellery is also equipped with an RFID tag and a tamper-evident seal to guarantee its security during transit.
At Edenly, the diamond remains one of the most coveted gemstones for its unrivalled brilliance, exceptional hardness and peerless sparkle. We offer a selection of certified natural and synthetic diamonds, each with advantages in price, ethics and symbolism.
Natural diamonds form over millions of years under extreme heat and pressure deep within the Earth. This precious gemstone symbolises eternity, pure love and strength, making it ideal for those seeking a piece with a powerful story and symbolism.
Synthetic diamonds, produced in a laboratory, are chemically identical to natural diamonds, but their controlled manufacture reduces cost and environmental impact. They are ideal for those seeking a brilliant, durable diamond while opting for a more ethical choice.
A diamond cluster is a composition that brings together several small stones set together to create the illusion of a single large gem. This option maximises brilliance while offering a voluminous look at a more affordable price than a large solitaire.
